Diesel Powered APUs

New Review! Check out our Promax and Mantis 175 reviews!

Diesel APUs are the most common APUs available. Diesel APUs come in a wide range of sizes and features, and like all options some systems are better than others.

Typically diesel truck APUs will use a two or three cylinder water cooled diesel engine to turn a belt driven compressor and alternator or generator to provide cooling and electricity, and then use heat from the radiator fluid to warm the vehicle cab.

Currently, diesel APUs have the largest diversity in options. Unlike propane APUs, which currently only one company is offer, or battery powered APUs, which has a handful of offers, there are well over a dozen manufacturers and even more models of diesel truck auxiliary power units available on the market today.

Below is a list of available diesel APUs. We eventually want to add a discussion of every APU, but this will take time so please be patient as we add articles

As I generate reviews and analysis of the above APUs, I will link to the article.
